Amanda Saxe, PMHNP
Amanda Saxe is a board-certified Advanced Practice Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). She began her career in 1997 working with Autistic children practicing behavioral therapy in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Since that time, she has completed her Bachelor of Science of Nursing from Carroll College-Columbia College of Nursing and began working in an acute care psychiatric inpatient facility. Moving forward, she earned her Masters of Science of Nursing at California State University Long Beach and worked in a variety of psychiatric settings. In combination with the adult inpatient behavioral health unit, she has worked adult outpatient behavioral health, adult intensive outpatient programming, geriatric inpatient, and also provided psychiatric services to various correctional institutions.
In addition to her extensive clinical experience, Amanda is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. Her current focus is working with adults who suffer from depression, anxiety, and a wide range of other mental health conditions integrating brief psychotherapy techniques, lifestyle changes, and if necessary, medication management. She has been awarded Nurse Practitioner of the Year twice in her career.
Amanda was raised in Wisconsin although has lived in California for 15 years. She enjoys riding motorcycles, snowboarding, traveling, and spending time with family and friends in her free time.
