Jeff Williams, LCSW
Jeff Williams is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 13 years experience in the mental-behavioral health field. He believes therapy should include a caring relationship and a safe space where hopes, emotions, and vulnerabilities are welcomed and accepted. Jeff has worked with a variety of families and individuals seeking emotional healing and a safer, stable, more accepting life experience. Theoretical approaches include behavioral, cognitive behavioral, dialectical, person-centered, and family systems.
His practice includes adults and teens struggling with depression, grief, anxiety, anger/opposition, existential/identity dilemmas, trauma, bi-polar symptoms, and dual-diagnosis needs. Family therapy is a major area of focus, helping families address longstanding conflict patterns, establish healthier boundaries, and develop new roles within their family system. While living in Virginia, Jeff had the good fortune of training 300+ hours over a 3 year period in Structural Family Therapy with Dr. Stephen Greenstein, an understudy of Minuchin. Throughout the years, he has come to a firm belief that family healing can lead to individual healing.
Jeff grew up in Southern California and enjoys music, surfing, working outdoors, travel, and time with family and friends.
