Anya Yanovskaya, MA, LMFT #71911
Marriage and Family Therapist
Anya is a marriage and family therapy intern with extensive experience in the care of children, adolescents and adults. She has been involved in the mental health field since 2005 – getting education, training and various workshops.
After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of San Diego, California, she obtained her master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University, School of Professional Psychology.
She has experience working in various settings—large agencies, schools and in private practice – which has provided her the knowledge and ability to effectively work with multi-cultural clients at all stages, from those that are experiencing short-term difficulty to others who are working through lifelong challenges. Anya helps her clients explore obstacles and barriers standing in their way while developing an action plan to overcome them.
Anya has special interest in working with couples to build healthier and happier relationships. Her philosophy when working with couples is to keep the balance in the therapy setting and provide safety for each partner to express their feelings. Anya helps families learn the tools to gain new perspective, skills, and greater understanding and insight – all catalysts to the change for long-lasting success and happiness. She provides a warm, nonjudgmental environment where clients can feel free to explore thoughts, ideas, concerns, and feelings while being offered honest, open feedback and challenges. Change and growth can be difficult, but individuals can be empowered to move forward, heal, and begin living a life they fully enjoy.
